Branding & Identity Design

While I’ve spent the lion’s share of my career working in-house, I have occasionally run into opportunities to scratch that logo design itch all designers are prone to. Some of these were for friends and family, some were for freelance clients, and some were just for fun.

Case Studies

While not ideal, I do have PDFs of 2 case studies exploring work for a new brand called Butcher Shop Baker, and a refresh of the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida.

Miscellaneous, Full Sail University.

Training event for Full Sail faculty and staff, the paper plane was chosen as a whimsical callback to Full Sail’s DC3 plane mascot

Badge for a project titled Metis, named for a Greek goddess of wisdom and thought, who is often depicted wearing a Trojan helmet.

Atlas is an internal Full Sail curriculum tool, the dots directly represent the Pleiades cluster and the star Atlas, symbolizing the depth of connections between courses

Dana’s Donuts

A personal project I’m particularly fond of, Dana’s Donut Shop was actually run by my grandparents in the late 70’s and early 80’s in rural Arkansas, named in honor of my eldest sister. As an exercise in hand lettering and filigree, I took it upon myself to create a modern logo for this shop. I’ve also included a screenshot of the working artboard, to give you an idea of the iterations and creative process I often implement when getting into the actual nitty-gritty of creating.

Pastry Punk

Pastry Punk is the personal brand for an emerging pastry chef in Orlando, Florida. When asked to describe her approach, she took to calling herself a ‘pastry punk.’ In addition to the logotype, we developed an alternate mark in a Jolly Roger design. It is both a callback to vintage flour packaging and an expression of resistance to stale trends in the pastry world.
